The EAL courses are intended for personnel in electrical contracting companies that have responsibility for the quality of the design specification, installation and inspection & testing processes. It addresses, in particular, the implications of the Wiring Regulations for Electrical Installations.
Initial inspection and testing EAL 600/4337/4
Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations
This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills needed to professionally design and install or inspect and test electrical installations.
This award is ideal for qualified electricians wishing to update their knowledge of electrical installation techniques. Level 3 is ideal if you are a qualified electrician and have a great deal of technical skills and knowledge. You work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correction and ensuring work meets the required standard. You want to update your knowledge of techniques and legislation.
Periodic inspection and testing EAL 600/4338/6
Level 3 Award in the Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
These qualifications will enable you to update your knowledge and skills in electrical installation and boost your confidence and ability in carrying out inspections and testing.
This qualification has been developed for practising electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update of training before progressing to other EAL, City & Guilds qualifications.
EAL Level 3 Award in Electrical Installation Inspection, Testing, Certification and Reporting 603/2625/6 combines two existing EAL initial verification/periodic inspection and reporting qualifications for both single and three phase electrical installations.
Each course runs for 5 days.
EAL course consists of theory and a practical assessment followed by an on-line exam.
Candidates will be informed of the result same day.
